Job Details and Description:
Could you be a tutor for Anysubject?
We are looking for tutors from all over the UK to be tutors.
We are also interested in people who would like to work as
online tutors.
You don't have to be a teacher to tutor - it depends on what
you are offering and what age groups you will be tutoring.
For all tutors - you will need to have:
a) National Insurance Number
b) A good standard of literacy and oral communication skills.
c) Patience in plentiful supply.
d) A degree or be similar qualified (second year and beyond
undergraduates are welcome to apply too).
e) To be at least 21 years old.
f) Availability for at least 6 months and 4 hours a week (evenings
and weekends).
g) Suitable materials for yourself and your students to use
during the lessons.
Plus for tutors of primary-aged children you will also need
to have:
- Experience of dealing with under 11's - probably in a classroom
environment.
Plus for tutors of other subjects you will also need to have:
- Qualifications in relevant subjects above the level you
propose to tutor them at.
Plus for native-speaking tutors of foreign languages you
will also need to have:
- A good standard of education.
- Prior experience of explaining your language to people.
- Suitable resources for tutoring young children if you are
proposing to teach them.
Plus for musicians you will also need to have:
- Proven ability with your instruments above the level you
propose to tutor them at.
- Your own instrument(s).
Anysubject always needs new tutors. Remember, unless you are
offering primary-level tuition, you don't need to have been
a teacher.
Pay is anything between £13.50 - £25 depending
on the subject taught.
