Job Details and Description:
The National Trust acts as a guardian for the nation in the
acquisition and protection of threatened coastline, countryside
and buildings.
We care for over 248,000 hectares of beautiful countryside
in the UK, almost 600 miles of coastline and more than 200
buildings and gardens of outstanding interest and importance.
The vast majority are open to visitors and we are constantly
looking at ways in which we can improve public access and
on-site facilities.
We are a registered charity and independent of Government,
therefore relying heavily on the generosity of our subscribing
members and other supporters.
Heritage work, Conservation work, group volunteering and
career enhancing volunteering. There is a great deal of diversity
in the volunteering options.
Different programmes will have different requirements - however
amongst other things we are looking for enthusiasm and commitment.
Age requirements differ as well - but minimum is 16, for some
projects 17 or 18.
All work is voluntary – though the National Trust will consider
reimbursement of out of pocket expenses – such as transport.
