Description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Birmingham

Help pupils access the lesson and feel part of the classroom.

Revolve Collective is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants interested in Birmingham school opportunities.

Our partner schools include primary and secondary settings, so we want to understand the age groups and additional needs you’ve supported before discussing a role.

You’ll work with teaching staff to make learning more accessible. That could involve clarifying instructions, supporting an agreed activity, adapting how a task is presented or helping a pupil develop confidence working independently.

Start with the pupil

To be considered, your experience should include:

*

Direct support for children or young people with special educational needs.

*

Adapting instructions, activities or resources to help individuals participate.

*

Following agreed support strategies and sharing observations with colleagues.

*

An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.

The right approach depends on the individual. You’ll follow the school’s support arrangements and notice when something needs adjusting.
