Graduate Cover Supervisor – Oldham

We are recruiting enthusiastic and articulate graduates for flexible day-to-day supply work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Oldham.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Take the lead in the absence of the teacher
Deliver pre-planned lessons and provided resources
Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Encourage independent learning and pupil participation
Support pupils with their learning and pastoral needs
Provide a clear handover to the class teacherWorking hours are typically 8.20am to 3.20pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible ad hoc opportunities available.

Experience in schools, sports coaching, youth work, drama, clubs or working with children and young people- especially MAHDLO is highly valued.

Who We're Looking For

This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching. You will need:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent
At least six weeks' experience working with groups of children or teenagers within the last three years
A referee who can provide a detailed reference for this experience
The legal right to work in the UK
An Enhanced DBS check and relevant references
The ability to travel to schools in Oldham with 30 minutes notice to arrive by 8.15amWhy Tradewind?
