We are looking for a passionate engineering leader to join our team of talented compiler engineers in Cambridge UK.

Job Overview

We work with pioneering LLVM compiler technology collaborating with a global open source community. The work we do supports the Arm ecosystem, enabling HPC and hyperscale deployments across the world.

We are a Diverse and hard-working group from all over the world. The team has people in Cambridge and Manchester, but this role is for Cambridge only. Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be Line Managing our talented engineers, including junior line managers. You will work with them to set accountabilities and objectives, perform performance review and assist them in developing their careers

You will also mentor and coach other line managers, encouraging a consistently excellent line management experience for all the engineers in the team.

Outside of this primary role there are many opportunities to craft the team culture and norms, improve agile development practices, improve secure software engineering practices, not to mention hands on development work. It all depends on your skills and interests.

Required skills and experience

An engineering background with relevant education

A consistent track record managing engineers

A passion for developing people and helping them advance their careers

Strong coaching and mentoring skills

“Nice to Have” Skills and Experience :

Background in compilers or runtimes

Expertise leading agile software teams or working with agile software development techniques

Experience leading technical projects
