They’re the eagle-eyed number lovers who are constantly unravelling the figures and coming up with ways to improve our business. They detail statistics. They predict future trends. They play a key role in keeping us ahead of the game.

Let’s talk about what you’ll be doing…
Being a Data Analyst Apprentice puts you right in the heart of our Network Strategy & Engineering team, where you’ll be collating, analysing and reporting on data associated with power and air conditioning equipment supporting our technical areas. The role involves interfacing not just with our monitoring systems but also with the many different colleagues, customers and suppliers who provide the information we need to manage our infrastructure.

How are you going to get there?
We’re looking for people who can provide critical insight across our operations. So, it’s important that you can make sense of complex data and explain it in ways that everyone can understand, although don’t worry, we’ll teach you to become a pro at this! If you also have some knowledge of data science methods, processes and systems, even better. Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills are also essential. By the end of the apprenticeship, your scheme mentor and workmates will have helped you gain the knowledge, experience and exposure you need to enjoy a fantastic career as an Insight Analyst, Commercial Manager or Business Strategist. Apprenticeship: Level 4 Data Analyst

Duration: 18 months
Location: Reading

Requirements: 5 GCSEs level 9-4 or above (grade C) or equivalent, including Maths and English or a level 3 apprenticeship. A level (grade C or above) or equivalent in STEM-based subject (i.e. falls under Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths).
