Description

GAIL’s Bakery is a craft-focused business that makes fantastic food and coffee. We love baking and want to share that love with our neighbourhoods, and we do this not only through our fantastic food, but through our people too.

We value craft training and are looking for an experienced trainer to join our Food Training team.  We’re looking for someone who is able to help design and deliver effective training and development to develop people and teams who deliver exceptional customer experiences through delivering exceptional food to ultimately improve business performance.

Our Food Training team coach our bakeries to improve performance, supporting with identifying opportunities where they can improve operations through the various tools we have to support. This includes looking at waste, food flow, ordering, visual merchandising, and quality control.

Training is one part of the role but being responsible for and upholding our high food standards is equally important and is something we’re incredibly proud of, so you’ll play your part in the team to continue to achieve this excellence not only through training and coaching, but through supporting new product launches and helping bakeries to understand their areas of opportunity through following up on action plans and identifying unique areas of support required on an individual bakery basis.

New bakery openings are an integral part of our business, so you’ll also lead our new bakery opening plan to effectively welcome GAIL’s to different neighbourhoods and showcase our food offering through the effective delivery of great training and our world class food.

You’ll also be comfortable leading a conversation, representing your field of expertise within projects to support business growth, so the ability to manage your workload effectively and to multitask is a must, as is your thirst for continuous improvement.
