About us

Fair HQ is the first tech platform to help startups, scale-ups and VCs embed diversity & inclusion across their businesses and reduce bias from their processes & behaviours. We’re an early-stage startup backed by a prominent London VC. Some of our customers have called Fair HQ their “Head of D&I”, which we find both rewarding & fitting.

We exist because the world we’re living in today is not (yet) fair — someone’s background & identity still influence how they’re able to navigate the world of work. We’re here to change that. Join us on our mission to create a truly meritocratic society. We’re Fair (it’s in the name!) — we don’t judge you on your background, but on your passion, skills and experience..

About the role

There’s plenty of things to do around here! As our first ever intern, you’ll be in charge of many extremely useful tasks at the core of our business. You’ll work across several roles and departments such as product, market research, sales and hiring. If you’re a quick learner looking for rewarding experience in the start-up world, then this is the position for you.

You’ll be at the centre of our team, working closely with Kate, the Founder & CEO, and Bibi & Ruby from our behavioural science team. We’re a fully remote team – your day will be a mix of Zoom/Around calls with the team, focused thinking & research time, and shared collaboration using online tools. If you live in London, you can also meet some of the teammates in person from time to time.

What you’ll do at Fair HQ

  • Working closely with our CEO on pre-sales activities – such as participating in and writing notes from sales calls, researching partners, leads & their key stakeholders
  • Reviewing and scoring our customers’ documents (such as policies & job descriptions) that they submit as part of the D&I audit
  • Conducting research into newly released Diversity & Inclusion benchmarks and updating our current database
  • Conducting competitive & partner research – sign up for demos, write up notes, capture screenshots/looms and present your findings back to the team
  • Understanding the Fair HQ platform inside out, testing new app releases, reporting bugs and suggesting improvements based on your feedback and feedback from customers
  • From the People & Team Care side of things – helping us source candidates for open roles, organising remote team activities (such as games) and helping us celebrate our successes
  • Small administrative tasks (less than 10% of the role)
