Our client is seeking a motivated and organised Administrator to join them on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a professional environment. Working within a busy and supportive department, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative activities while developing valuable transferable skills.

The successful candidate will be available to work 3 days per week, year-round, with the assignment expected to last approximately 4-6 months, although the duration may be extended depending on the needs of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide comprehensive administrative support, including typing correspondence, maintaining records and assisting with smooth day-to-day running.

* Process lesson discontinuation requests, issue acknowledgements and maintain accurate records of changes and departmental information.

* Support the administration of awards ceremonies, ensuring documentation is accurately processed and communicated.

* Liaise with staff regarding advertising vacancies, acknowledging applications, obtaining references and coordinating interview arrangements.

* Attend meetings, take accurate minutes and distribute documentation to relevant stakeholders.

* Act as a key point of contact between the Music Department and the Business Centre, including Finance and Estates teams.

* Order, receive and issue resources and materials, reconcile invoices and charges, and follow up on outstanding orders.

* Manage the allocation and tracking of music-related assets, ensuring records are maintained and relevant information is communicated to the Business Centre.

* Process absence sheets and maintain accurate attendance-related records.

* Assist with the administration and coordination of music-related events.

* Support the preparation, checking and distribution of programmes and event documentation.

* Maintain and update catalogues, including, document resources, hardware and supplier information.

Experience and Skills Requirements

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and confident manner.

* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines within a busy environment.

* Confident handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

* Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

* Comfortable liaising with a variety of people.

* Ability to produce professional documentation, correspondence and meeting minutes.

* Proactive, reliable and willing to support a wide range of activities.

* Must be a car driver.
