Fresh food manufacturing specialist Bakkavor is launching a recruitment drive to fill over 1,800 new full and part time jobs across the United Kingdom.
The massive hiring spree will see Bakkavor move through the 20,000 employee headcount marker, adding to the 19,000 the firm currently employs in the UK. Worldwide, Bakkavor provides jobs for a further 2,000 people.
Some of the vacancies, including production and hygiene operatives, are entry level positions. There are also jobs for people with more experience, such as technical service managers, line leaders, section coordinators.and engineers.
Flexible hours are on offer for many of the roles, with day shifts and night shifts available for some of the full and part time positions.
One of the biggest winners from the Bakkavor recruitment drive is the county on Lincolnshire which will benefit from almost half of the vacancies, with 842 vacancies up for grabs in Bourne (448), Holbeach (121), Sutton Bridge (105), Boston (98) and Spalding (70).
Bo’ness in Scotland will take on 293 new staff, whilst Newark-on-Trent in Nottingham will also be hiring over 200 full and part time staff at Bakkavor’s facility in the town.
Other places with Bakkavor vacancies include Tilmanstone in Kent, Devizes in Wiltshire, Leicester, London, Crewe, Wigan, Nantwich and Highbridge in Somerset.
